The separator (1) has tunnels (3) arranged at an edge of the separator for holding the separator in a shelf, where the separator is made of flexible or textile material. The material is laid in a web with loops. The loops have a projection unit and a base. The loops are closed at the base, where the projection unit and the base are held on adjacent rows. The loops form an auxiliary slot, and a tensioning belt is arranged at an upper side, where tensioning belt is shorter than side length of the separator. Grid bars comprise multiple of grid slots for holding multiple carriers.
