The present invention relates to a quenching zone apparatus for a reactor, the quenching apparatus comprising a quenching portion and a mixing portion, wherein the quenching portion includes fluid distribution pipes installed so as to branch radially from the center thereof to discharge quenching fluid and to form a swirl across the entire region of the quenching portion, and at least one first fluid outlet defined in the floor thereof, the mixing portion including: inclined baffles respectively disposed below the first fluid outlet; at least one partition formed thereon so as to dispose the inclined baffle in a partitioned space between an outer wall and inner wall of the mixing portion; and a second fluid outlet for discharging fluid mixed by the inclined baffle and the partition. A guide is also installed on the second fluid outlet to form an additional swirl, thereby maximizing gas/liquid contact.
