PURPOSE: A method of searching a fuel saving route for minimizing the consumption of fuel is provided to minimize fuel consumption by applying an acceleration/deceleration model according to fuel consumption by speed, average pass speed by the kind, length and link of a road, crossroad pass and the kind of turn. CONSTITUTION: A method of searching a fuel saving route for minimizing the consumption of fuel is as follows. Fuel consumption by vehicle speed is calculated according to average pass speed by road link based on a fuel consumption table suitable for a vehicle(s110). The kind of road is selected according to the type of road to be run(s120). The length of road, link distance on a circular road is calculated(s130). Road running cost is calculated by multiplying of the fuel consumption by vehicle speed, the kind of road and the road length(s140). Crossroad extra additional-cost due to crossroad additional-fuel-consumption is calculated by applying an acceleration/deceleration model according to crossroad pass and the kind of turn.
