[Also in Divisions B2, C3 and C4] Papers and paperboards may be laminated with hot melt adhesives comprising 20 to 80 weight per cent of atactic propylene/ethylene copolymer and 80 to 20 weight per cent of a tackifier selected from rosin, hydrogenated rosin, disproportionated rosin, polymerized rosin, esters of rosin and hydrogenated, disproportionated and polymerized rosin, and terpene resins. The adhesives are useful in the manufacture of corrugated paper boards, and examples describe the lamination of kraft paper strips with hot melt adhesives comprising atactic propylene/ethylene terminal block copolymer and hydrogenated rosin, α-pinene resin, #-pinene resin and tall oil. |
