Red-brown fly ash pellets - for blast furnace supply controlling ferric oxide content

Method of making pellets, for the blast furnace or a converter, from solid residues of reddish brown fume or ferrous mud from the wetting of these deposits, comprises mixing with lime and water (opt. as lime water), and moulding followed by drying in a CO2 atmosphere to produce CaCO3 in the pellet. The mix pref. contains 30-70% reddish brown fume, 5-30% CaO, 10-40% total water.
