PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a display device capable of updating image data for display comprising a base image and a pointer image at a higher process rate.

SOLUTION: A CPU 11 stores a pointer angle in the last drawing frame and extracts a partial base image data corresponding to a rectangular region including the pointer region in the last drawing frame on the basis of the stored pointer angle. The CPU 11 reads out the partial base image data from a base image recording region 121 of a ROM 12 and overwrites the data only in the corresponding region of a drawing memory 13. Then the CPU 11 calculates a pointer angle on the basis of a sensor value. The CPU 11 reads out a pointer image data in accordance with the calculated pointer angle from a pointer image recording region 122 of the ROM 12 and overwrites on the updated image data in the drawing memory 13.
