PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity characteristics in a wavelength region of 405±5 nm and such excellent durability as to avoid light-induced fatigue deterioration, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer sequentially laid on a conductive substrate and is used under an exposure light source having a wavelength in the range of 405±5 nm, wherein the charge transport layer contains as a charge transport material a triphenylamine dimer compound represented by formula (I), wherein R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>each independently represent 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy.
