PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal to be used for surgical treatments, to be more specific, a seal anchor member adapted to insertion into an incision in the tissue. SOLUTION: The seal anchor member has a head part, a following part, and a middle part placed between the head part and the following part. The middle part transits between a first state that demarcates a first length and a second state that demarcates a second state. The seal anchor member includes the middle part and a biasing member which is placed in the middle part and makes the middle part transit between the first state and the second state.
