PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus that prevents an inner part of the recording apparatus from being contaminated due to dropping of ink which adheres to a nozzle face by an ejection recovery operation. SOLUTION: A wipe unit 82 can move relative to an inkjet head 22 in a direction roughly parallel to a nozzle face 22a from a wipe start position where a wipe member 118 is in contact with one end side of a nozzle forming region N to a wipe finish position where the wipe member 118 is in contact with the other end side of the nozzle forming region N. An opening part 122c has an opening region including, in its range, the nozzle forming region N in a plane view when the wipe unit 82 relatively moves from the wipe start position to the wipe finish position.
