PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a liquid supply method by several supply pipes is conventionally used as a method of supplying a coating liquid to an ink pan in a gravure coating, but when a coating liquid having high thixotropy is used, the coating liquid is not spread in the width direction in the ink pan, particularly in use of a wide ink pan. SOLUTION: The coating liquid is uniformly spread in the width direction from a slit 2 to the ink pan 8 by supplying the coating liquid to the slit 2 from each hole present in the width direction in the chamber 3 of a coating liquid supply device 1 to spread the coating liquid in the slit. Then, the supply device is coped with coating over a wider range and further is coped with various kinds of coating liquids and is made easy in handling and has low equipment cost.
