A system 100 for determining a location of a receiver 104 is disclosed. The system includes at least one transmitter 106 transmitting one or more radio signals 314, respectively. The system also includes a receiver 104 comprising a clock 248, a memory 204, and a processor 202 configured to execute computer-executable instructions stored in the memory 204. The instructions makes the receiver 104 operable to receive the radio signals 314, capture the radio signals 314' as one or more received signal waveform 320, respectively, and store the received signal waveforms 320 in the memory 204. The instructions also make the receiver 104 operable to calculate one or more virtual transmitted waveforms 314" based upon the received signal waveforms 320, respectively and determine, based upon the received signal waveforms 320 and the virtual transmitted waveforms 314", a position of the receiver 104 relative to the transmitters 106.
