Permanent metal mould - for moulding plastic articles with electropla and cast aluminium mould parts

A metal part is manufactured and provided with a first layer which corresponds to the article, allowing for possible shrinkage. An impression is made corresponding to the outer surface of the first layer. A second layer is then applied to the impression and this second layer placed in an electroplating bath and the side facing the impression galvanically deposited with a metal layer to produce the negative mould part. Pref. the positive mould part is cast in aluminium from the original metal part.
