<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correlate the coordinates of a displayed image with the coordinates of an image obtained by photographing the displayed image with a camera, and use the camera as a pointing device. <P>SOLUTION: A first projection conversion matrix H<SB>key_c</SB><SP>Match</SP>from a key photographing frame candidate C<SB>key_c</SB>in an image photographed with a camera to a display frame D<SB>key_c</SB>in a displayed image on a display device is calculated. Upon calculating the projection conversion matrix H<SB>key_c</SB><SP>Match</SP>, a projection conversion matrix H<SB>key</SB><SP>Match</SP>is updated using the calculated projection conversion matrix H<SB>key_c</SB><SP>Match</SP>. At the same time, a second projection conversion matrix H<SB>t, key</SB><SP>Track</SP>from a present photographing frame C<SB>t</SB>at the present time t (=key+n) to a key photographing frame C<SB>key</SB>at the past time key (=t-n) is calculated. Then, when the projection conversion matrix H<SB>t, key</SB><SP>Track</SP>is calculated, the projection conversion matrix H<SB>t, key</SB><SP>Track</SP>is multiplied by the projection conversion matrix H<SB>key</SB><SP>Match</SP>, and a third projection conversion matrix H<SB>t</SB><SP>C→D</SP>from the present photographing frame C<SB>t</SB>to the display frame D<SB>t</SB>is calculated to correlate the coordinates of the photographed image with the coordinates of the displayed image on the display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
