<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heater securely preventing overcurrent at start, and also to provide an air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes: a heater control section 54 duty controlling the PTC heater 55; and a current detecting section 53 detecting a current value of the PTC heater 55. Operation of the PTC heater 55 is started at a predetermined duty ratio. When the current value detected by the current detecting section 53 takes the maximal value P, a duty ratio increasing process of increasing the duty ratio of the PTC heater 55 only by a predetermined amount is repeated until the duty ratio reaches 100%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
