<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding structure for a touch panel with a simple configuration for suppressing vibration attenuation of a piezoelectric element for a force feedback function and effectively transmitting the vibration of the touch panel to an operator. <P>SOLUTION: The holding structure for the touch panel has: a display panel 12 for forming a display screen; the touch panel 14 located outside the display panel 12 for allowing an input operation; and a piezoelectric element 13 provided at the side edge of the touch panel 14 for applying vibration in accordance with the operation of the touch panel 14. The holding structure includes a casing 16 for accommodating the display panel 12 and the touch panel 14, and an opening 16a through which the touch panel 14 is exposed. The holding structure includes a protective sheet 17 that has a size larger than the touch panel 14, and is applied to an entire front surface of the touch panel 14 and the peripheral edge 16b of the opening of the casing 16. The protective sheet 17 includes non-bonded portions 20, 22 at a peripheral edge 17a. The non-bonded portions are not bonded partly to at least one of the peripheral edge 14a of the touch panel 14 and the peripheral edge 16b of the opening of the casing 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
