PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust, at low cost and with ease, the pulse interval forming an electromagnetic wave pulse train. SOLUTION: A single electromagnetic wave pulse is made to be incident diagonally to the arranged face of a plurality of retroreflective elements. As a result, a plurality of electromagnetic wave pulses having different transmission path lengths (transmission times) are generated according to the positions of the retroreflective elements arranged in a tilted direction, and the electromagnetic wave pulse train is generated by focusing the plurality of generated electromagnetic wave pulses into a single beam with an electromagnetic wave focusing device.
