PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable connector that makes mirror surface processing works of a ferrule easier and prevents looseness or pinching at the time when the optical cable connectors are engaged with each other. SOLUTION: Only a housing body 12 of a male connector 1 made by integrally forming the housing body 12 and a protecting hood 11 is divided into upper and lower portions. The male connector 1 is constituted by assembling an upper male connector 1a consisting of the housing body 12a and the protecting hood 11a, and a lower male connector 1b consisting of only the housing body 12b.
