PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book rest on which many books can be placed regardless of the size and the thickness of the book. SOLUTION: In a book rest constituted in a manner that the book rest have the holding plate section for holding the lower end portion of the book and is equipped with the page stopper which presses the lower portion of the page formed in the lower section of a square shaped book resting plate with flexibility with a round rod support pole attached turnably to the book resting plate on which protruded parts and hook parts are formed in both sides and the upper end portion of the book resting plate, and the book rest set in a box using empty bottles, a plurality of protruded hook sections are continuously formed, in the ends of the up and down, right and left side of the book resting plate.
