PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle display system readily and correctly selecting a targeted character with a small number of operations. SOLUTION: In the on-vehicle display system 100, the directional operation and the rotational operation are possible by one main controller. Characters for input candidates are classified into a plurality of groups. Items 61 of the groups can be selected by the directional operation, and items 62 of the characters included in the group can be selected by the rotational operation. By two kinds of operation, i.e., the directional operation and the rotational operation, the selection of the group item and the selection of the characters included in the group can be individually operated, and the desired character can be rapidly and correctly selected by a small number of operations.
