Disclosed is a waterproof illumination apparatus that can be mounted and used in common for various exterior members. The waterproof illumination apparatus is provided with: a light source unit (2) configured by a plurality of light emitting diodes (5) lined up in a straight line inserted within a linear pipe (4) that is translucent and waterproof sealed; and a support section (3) that is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the light source unit (2), and supports the light source unit (2). The support section (3) is comprised of: a flat mounting plate (7) that is arranged at the side of one of the side faces with respect to the light emitting direction of the light source unit (2), and used for mounting the waterproof illumination apparatus onto a prescribed member; a flat holding plate (9) that is arranged at the non light-emitting direction side of the light source unit (2), and upon which a plurality of clamps (8) that hold the light source unit (2) are arranged; and a flat cover plate (10) that is arranged at the side of the other of the side faces with respect to the light emitting direction of the light source unit (2), and used for blocking light emitted from the light source unit (2).
