PURPOSE: A speed measuring apparatus for railway is provided to prevent the affection of foreign materials on the rim parts of a wheel by installing a sensor to be spaced a part from a reaction part. CONSTITUTION: A reacting part(500) is installed at a wheel(200). The reacting part is composed of a reacting plate for monitoring the rotation of the wheel based on a sensor(400) and a fixing bolt for fixing the reacting plate to the wheel. A spacer is further installed between the outer diameter of the fixing bolt and the inner diameter of the wheel. A bracket(300) is installed at the axle box(100) of a truck. The sensor is installed at the bracket. A calculating part calculates driving speed. |
