<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass welding method for producing a welded glass article having high reliability and a glass layer fixing method for the welding method. <P>SOLUTION: A glass layer 3 is melted by irradiating a laser beam L1 along a predetermined welding area R. In the process, the laser beam L1 having a first input heat quantity is irradiated along the planned welding area R to gasify a binder and melt a glass frit 2. When the melt ratio of the glass layer 3 nearly perpendicular to the moving direction of the laser beam L1 exceeds a predetermined level, the input heat quantity is changed and a laser beam L1 having a second input heat quantity smaller than the first input heat quantity is irradiated along the planned welding area R to gasify the binder, melt the glass frit 2 and fix the glass layer 3 to a glass member 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
