<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic display device and a stereoscopic display method, achieving high quality and excellent usefulness by display control considering the feature of a liquid crystal panel when stereoscopic display is performed with a sequentially scanning type liquid crystal display panel. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic display device has: a display control part which repeats scanning of an L-image or an R-image twice and displays the image on a liquid crystal panel; backlights to be turned on and off for scanning for each of a plurality of individual light source regions corresponding to each of a plurality of division screen regions given by dividing the screen region of the liquid crystal panel into a plurality of portions; and a light source control part which controls the backlights so that the individual light source region corresponding to the division screen region where the L-image or the R-image is scanned is scanning turned on with synchronizing the second writing scanning timing of the L-image or the R-image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
