PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tower structure which reduces the displacement of the top part thereof at a wind velocity not higher than a design wind velocity, while reducing its manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: Fins 4 for increasing the face width B of the tower structure 1 are attached to the tower structure 1 used as a stack or a bridge pier so that a stress produced by the resonance of a vortex excitation at the design wind velocity comes within a predetermined value. Thereby, the manufacturing cost can be reduced, and the displacement of the top part of the structure at a wind velocity not higher the design wind velocity can be reduced.
