<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a transfer roller which, even when the end face of a metal plate before being molded into a cylindrical shaft is regulated, can improve the accuracy of the diameter, roundness and the like of the cylindrical shaft, and to provide a transfer unit and a printing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a transfer roller comprises disposing a pair of end faces 34, 34 of a metal plate 30 so as to face each other and molding the plate 30 into a cylindrical form. The method comprises a regulation step of regulating the angleβthat at least one end face 34 of the pair of end faces 34, 34 of the metal plate 30 makes with one plate face 31b in the direction of the plate thickness of the metal plate 30 to become a larger value than 90°, and regulating both the anglesα1 that one plate face 31b side of a pair of second end faces 35 in the metal plate 30 in the extended direction of the end face 34 makes with the one plate face 31b to become a larger value than 90°, and a bending step of bending a metal plate so that one plate face 31b and the other plate face 31a on the reverse side constitute an outer peripheral face to allow at least outer peripheral face sides of the pair of end faces to be abutted against each other and thus to mold the plate 30 into a cylindrical form. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
