PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam member of temporary scaffolding surrounding a building, which enables the formation of a beam as high as other beams such as a beam for a tread and a beam for a handrail, formed of a normal beam member. SOLUTION: This beam member (a beam 6 for a corner) of the temporary scaffolding 1 constitutes the beam by being locked to each of binding positions 7 of adjacent supports 2, among the plurality of supports 2 having the binding positions 7 composed of first and second binding holders 8 and 9 different in height. The beam member includes a first wedge piece 12a which is vertically elongated at one end of a body 11 and locked to the binding position 7 of the one support 2, and a second wedge piece 12b which is vertically elongated at the other end of the body 11 and locked to the binding position 7 of the other support 2. The amount of elongation of the first wedge piece 12a from the body 11 is set even in a vertical direction; and the amount of elongation of the second wedge piece 12b from the body 11 is offset by the amount of displacement of the first and second binding holders 8 and 9.
