PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing water-granulated glass, which reliably prevents generation of glass gobs in a water-granulation tank without complicating the configuration of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The method for producing water-granulated glass comprises reserving water-granulation water W in a plurality of water-granulation tanks 2 arranged in series, and sequentially transporting the tank to the position where molten glass M falls from a feeder 1. The apparatus 10 for producing water-granulated glass includes the feeder 1 allowing the molten glass M to fall, water-granulation tanks 2 to water-granulate the molten glass M supplied from the feeder 1 with water-granulation water W, and a separating means 6 separating the water-granulated glass C water-granulated in the water-granulation tanks 2 from the water-granulation water W, wherein the plurality of water-granulation tanks 2 in series are sequentially transported to the position where the molten glass M falls.
