<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a substrate for display panels, in which a rugged shape to be formed on the surface of each of a black matrix and a colored layer is made smaller so that the fluidization and diffusion of an aligning agent are not hindered. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises: a step of forming a film of a negative photosensitive material being a material for each of colored layers 13r, 13g, 13b on the surface of the substrate 1 for display panels on which substrate the black matrix 12 having an opening of a picture element is formed; an exposure step of irradiating the film formed on the opening of the black matrix 12 with light energy and irradiating the film formed on the peripheral part of the opening with low light energy; and a development step of developing the film of the material for the colored layer to form the colored layers 13r, 13g, 13b. At the development step, a superposed part 131 is formed where the black matrix 12 is superposed on each of colored layers 13r, 13g, 13b and the thickness of the superposed part 131 is made thinner than that of the film formed on the opening of the black matrix 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
