PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique for accurately and efficiently determining an acquisition frequency. SOLUTION: First-type correlation arithmetic processing, which is rough frequency search processing, is performed on a received signal of a GPS satellite signal. A frequency between a main lobe and a side lobe is then calculated based on a first-type correlation integration time that is a correlation integration time to be used for first-type correlation arithmetic processing, and a side lobe check frequency is set using this calculated frequency and a frequency with which a correlation value becomes maximum in first-type correlation integration processing. A plurality of search frequencies are then selected while including the frequency, with which the correlation value becomes maximum in first-type correlation integration processing, and the side lobe check frequency, and second-type correlation arithmetic processing is performed using the selected search frequencies. A search frequency, with which a correlation value becomes maximum in second-type correlation arithmetic processing, is then decided and determined as an acquisition frequency.
