PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct focal plane distortions (FP distortions), in a stable manner. SOLUTION: An imaging device corrects FP distortions of an input image obtained, by using a CMOS image sensor and camera shake and generate an output image. The position of a reference frame 351 on an input image 350 is adjusted so as to override image blurring due to camera shake, based on an optical flow between the previous input image and the current input image 350. A distortion correction vector for removing the FP distortions of the input image 350 is led from the optical flow, and the reference frame 351 is deformed, based on the distortion correction vector and an extraction frame 352a. When the extraction frame 352a does not accommodate inside the input image 350, the distortion correction vector and the extraction frame are corrected so that the extraction frame 352a is accommodated in the input image 350; and the output image is generated from the image inside a corrected extraction frame 352b.
