PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize reduction in sound production and in component abrasion in the rotation means of a container holder and, in addition, apparatus compaction with regard to a revolution/rotation stirrer. SOLUTION: There is provided a revolution/rotation stirrer 1 equipped with a rotary body 8 that rotates in a horizontal plane by means of a revolution drive means and a container holder 20A that is slantingly formed in the rotation center direction in position radially distant from the rotation center and rotates about a rotation axis 20a by a rotation means, wherein the revolution drive means is an electric motor 6A that is arranged in the space inside the revolution orbit of the container holder 20A in a position above the rotation center of the rotary body 8, and rotates the rotary body by means of a drive shaft 62, and the rotation means is composed of a conductor 20b surrounding the entire external circumference of the container holder 20A and a fixed magnet that generates a magnetic field on the side of the external circumference of the electric motor 6A to exerts a magnetic force on the conductor 20b, whereupon the exertion of the magnetic force on the conductor 20b that revolves rotates the container holder 20A.
