The device (1) has a spray head (3) attachable to an adapter (2) that is in cylindrical shape. The adapter has an attachment (5) for compressed air- and/or material supply at its side. The adapter has screw couplings (8-10) or bayonet couplings for detachably attaching the spray head. The screw- or bayonet couplings are operable from the side of the adapter and/or are covered by the spray head when the couplings are attached to the adapter. The spray head is formed as a spray gun, where diameter of the spray head corresponds to diameter of the adapter.
