PURPOSE: A power supply device for an LED lamp and method thereof are provided to stably control output AC power applied to a light control unit in the rated power range of an LED display device. CONSTITUTION: An input system(100) performs high band pass and micro power factor compensation in a pulsation AC component to generate pulsation DC power for driving. An output system(200) emits light based on the rating state of the LED display device by applying output AC power to the LED display device. A control system(300) feeds the PWM signal back to the output system to control a switching operation.
