<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a print condition setting screen for urging a user to select print conditions to increase energy saving effects when the user designates the print conditions when requesting printing. <P>SOLUTION: When three types of choices of the monochrome, gray scale, and color of "color/monochrome" 53 are displayed on a print condition setting screen, the choices are displayed in the order of small power consumption, or the choices are displayed with different background colors so that the order of the choices with a small power consumption can be recognized. Also, the sizes of the display characters of the choices may be changed in the order of small power consumption. Furthermore, the choices are displayed such that the size of the radio box of the choice with the smallest power consumption is maximized, and that the sizes of the radio boxes of the choices are gradually made smaller according as the power consumption becomes large.
