<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and efficient wind power generator which improves brake responsiveness and is rotatable even at low wind speed. <P>SOLUTION: A generator is constructed by arranging a power-generating annular permanent magnet 4 on a rotor 1, and arranging a generator coil 3 oppositely to the power-generating annular permanent magnet 4 on a pillar 2 in the radial direction of the rotor 1. The electrical energy generated by the generator is received by a control circuit 11. A ring 6 is arranged oppositely to an electromagnet 5 in the radial direction of the rotor 1. Upon rotation of the rotor 1, the polarity of a magnetic pole crossing the ring 6 changes and hence an eddy current is generated, thereby braking the rotation of the rotor 1. The generated current or generated energy is measured on the control circuit 11. An increase in the rotational frequency of the rotor 1 is suppressed by passing no current through the electromagnet 5 when the measured value indicates the low wind speed, and by passing a large current through the electromagnet 5 when it indicates a high wind speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
