TREATMENT METHOD FOR STABILIZING MOLTEN SLAG FINE AGGREGATE USED AS CONCRETE AGGREGATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for stabilizing molten slag fine aggregate used as concrete aggregate, by which entrainment of surplus air bubbles and pop-out phenomenon are avoided when molten slag is used as concrete fine aggregate.

SOLUTION: The treatment method for stabilizing molten slag used as concrete aggregate comprises immersing the molten slag into a magnesium silicofluoride solution having concentration of 5-30 mass% for 30 min to 2 h and then removing the magnesium silicofluoride component sticking on obtained modified molten slag.
