<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem when heating a printing medium on a fixing belt, wherein the degree of heat divergence is larger at an edge of a fixing belt than at a middle of the fixing belt, so that a temperature at the edge of the fixing belt falls, resulting in a difference in temperature distribution due to a position where the fixing belt comes into contact with the printing medium, and fixable property of developer on the printing surface is not uniform. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a support 3 which comes into contact with and supports the endless fixing belt 2 for fixing the developer 7 on the printing medium 8; a surface heating element 4 which is supported by the support 3 and comes into contact with and heats the fixing belt 2; and a heat conduction part 6 which is disposed between the surface heating element 4 and the support 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
