PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a worker from erroneously recording and determining a result when checking on a weighing apparatus. SOLUTION: When the weighing apparatus is checked on, a reference weight is placed on a weighing table, and a weighed value of the reference weight is stored by operating a storage key. The stored weighted value is compared with a previously stored reference setting value corresponding to the reference weight. It determines that the quality of the weighing apparatus is proper or not, by the fact that a difference is within an allowable range or not. If it determines that the quality of the weighing apparatus is not proper, a message for informing a user of the necessity for a calibration of the weighing apparatus is displayed.
