PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system capable of preventing theft of power which ought to be supplied from a power feed source to a storage battery of a power feed target. SOLUTION: A controller 20 for the side of a dwelling 11 acquires the amount of power reception Ir on a vehicle 31 as the target of power feed through power line transport communication with the vehicle 31, and determines whether the power feed to the vehicle 31 can be executed in a normal manner, on the basis of comparison between the acquired amount Ir of power reception and the amount Is of power supply to the vehicle 31. Then, when it is determined that the amount Ir of power reception in the vehicle 31 does not match the amount Is of power supply to the vehicle 31, the controller 20 stops power feeding to the vehicle 31, because there exists the possibility that current is stolen.
