PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a division operation, while confirming a division state, even when the amount of read image data is larger. SOLUTION: An image reading part 3 optically reads the image data from an original. A file generating part 7 generates a prescribed format file, based on the read image data, divides the generation file, and generates a division file. An input part 9 receives the input of a display indication and a division setting indication concerning the generation file. A display part 9 displays a division setting screen for setting the division state of the generation file. A division transmission control part 27 allows the display part 9 to display the division setting screen, based on the display indication. The division transmission control part 27 controls the file generating part 7, based on the division setting indication, to divide the generation file, and allows a transmission part to transmit the division file by attaching the file to an e-mail.
