PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of efficiently quickly cooling food in cooling the food of comparatively high temperature, and minimizing bad influence on the other foods stored in the refrigerator. SOLUTION: This refrigerator-freezer 1 includes a refrigerating compartment 103, a blown-off cold air passage 150, a quick cooling compartment 200, a supply section 250 and an exhaust cylinder 240. The blown-off cold air passage 150 is disposed to supply the cold air to the refrigerating compartment 103. The quick cooling compartment 200 is detachably mounted inside of the refrigerating compartment 103 to receive cooled objects 300, and formed of a heat insulating material. The supply section 250 supplies the cold air supplied into the refrigerating compartment 103 from the blown-off cold air passage 150, to the quick cooling compartment 200.
