PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission capable of more accurately synchronizing axial directional movement of a pivot of each trunnion without increasing the yoke machining cost. SOLUTION: A wire pulley 14a is fixed to a pivot 14 on an upper side of a trunnion 15. An upper side yoke 23A is pinched between an end surface of the trunnion 15, in which the pivot 14 is formed, and the wire pulley 14a. A part of the yoke 23A pinched between the trunnion 15 and the wire pulley 14a is formed with cylindrical through holes 101 respectively opening in an upper and a lower side surfaces. A cylindrical projection forming member 102 is pressed into the through hole 101. Upper and lower ends of the projection forming member 102 project from an upper surface and a lower surface of the yoke 23A, respectively, and these projecting parts respectively form upper and lower projections 105 and 106. The upper and lower projections 105 and 106 are brought into contact with the wire pulley 14a or the trunnion 15, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
