<p>A mixing and emulsifying appts, capable of being interchangeably mounted on an agitator shaft, for combining mixing, agitation, emulsifying and dissolving of substances, and producing both horizontal and vertical flows, consists of a hub with a number of radially projecting inclined mixing vanes surrounded by one or more guide rings; these provide the continuous mixing by producing a constrained vertical circulating flow. Horizontal emulsifying plates, mounted on the guide rings provide the emulsifying effect. Specif. the rings may alternatively or additionally have serrated edges or slots or holes within them to assist in the emulsifying effect.</p> |
