PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction cutter of a short cylindrical shape, which is attached to a front end of a hollow pile at an underground-side, and prevents the pile from "stopping at a high position" to easily install the pile in the ground. SOLUTION: The friction cutter 20 of a short cylindrical shape having an outer diameter larger than the diameter of the hollow concrete pile 10 is attached by welding to a metal end plate 11 disposed on an underground-side front end of the concrete pile 10 via a blocking angled steel bar 30. An inner peripheral surface 202 near a cylindrical lower end 201 of the friction cutter 20 is provided with an angled steel bar 21 of a ring shape encircling around the inner peripheral surface 202.
