PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engineering tool that extracts changes by a document comparison algorithm even in a graphical program. SOLUTION: A net information function 141 generates text data (before change) 142 and text data (after change) 143 respectively from circuit diagram data 121 before change and circuit diagram data 131 after change created by a program editor for creating a graphical program, a Diff function 144 fed with them extracts changes by an O(ND) algorithm for computing a minimum edit distance between the text data (before change) 142 and the text data (after change) 143, and a WORD(R) generation function 145 maps the output of the Diff function 144 to the circuit diagram data to generate a circuit diagram change list 16.
