Disclosed is an impeller of a centrifugal compressor provided with a splitter blade, wherein interference of the inlet end edge of the splitter blade with respect to leakage vortex from the tip end of the inlet end edge of a full blade is avoided, and a high pressure ratio and high efficiency are achieved. A throat (SR) forms a minimum space from the inlet end edge (5a) of a rear-side full blade (5R) positioned at the rear side in the rotational direction of the impeller to a front-side full blade (5F) disposed at the front side in the rotational direction, adjacent to the rear-side full blade (5R). The inlet end edge (7a) of the splitter blade (7) is positioned further toward the downstream side of the flow direction of a fluid which flows between the full blades than a leakage vortex line (WL) which is formed by linking the center position (P) of the throat (SR) and the inlet end edge (5a) of the front-side full blade (5F).
