<p>The invention relates to a method for public-key cryptography without a certificate, which is based on a public-key encryption scheme based on the so-called IBE identity, and on a conventional public-key encryption scheme. In order to reduce the memory capacities required by an electronic device implementing the method, the method combines Gentry's IBE scheme and the Cramer-Shoup conventional public-key encryption scheme with reduced redundancy, i.e., with an expansion factor less than 16. The invention also relates to a secure constrained-memory device as well as an electronic system implementing the method according to the invention.</p> |
