The method involves connecting a work-piece storage (1) or individual cartridges (1.1) with a round table (4.2) of a machine-tool (4) in a temporary manner, during conversion and/or mounting of a supply component (2) by a handling tool (4.3) for transmission of positions, forces and movements at a pre-determined movement course, and an actuator. The handling tool sits in a machine spindle (4.1). The storage or the cartridges are moved using the actuator against a stopper of the table of the machine-tool. The actuator is designed such that the actuator causes movement of the table in an axis. An independent claim is also included for a work-piece storage unit for implementing a method for supplying components.
