<p>PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the reliability of a light emitting device by preventing a short between a light emitting structure and an external electrode by forming a passivation layer on the side of a light emitting structure. CONSTITUTION: A conductive support member(170) supports a light emitting structure. A reflection layer(160) is formed on the conductive support member. A protection layer(158) is formed around the reflection layer. An ohmic layer(155) is formed on the protection layer and the upper side of the reflection layer. A second conductive semiconductor layer(150) is formed on the ohmic layer and the protection layer.</p> |
