PURPOSE: An electrode for a dye-sensitized solar battery and the dye-sensitized solar battery are provided to prevent electrolyte from penetrating a substrate, thereby preventing the efficiency of generating electricity from being lowered. CONSTITUTION: A large polarity(3) faces a reaction electrode(2) with a gap between the large polarity and the reaction electrode. Electrolyte is filled between the reaction electrode and the large polarity and includes iodine. The reaction electrode and/or the large polarity are dye-sensitized solar batteries. An electrode for a dye-sensitized solar battery includes a substrate. The substrate is made of a polyimide film.
